Full name is Irie Sauceda-Lindsey, and I’m a digital & film photographer based Denver, Colorado. I’m coming up on ten years studying photography, having started the exploration in my new found passion in 2016.

My aunt who is also a photographer initially sparked my interest in the art. I accompanied her on many photo sessions and had the opportunity to learn a handful of things from her and her self-taught expertise.

This later lead me to pursue a BFA at Colorado State University, with a concentration in photo-making. The institution introduced me to the beauty of analog processes, the most known being film photography.

Throughout the four years of my study I explored several styles and genres of the photographic art form. The list is long but it includes: fine-art; fashion; street; landscape & cityscape; documentary; event & wedding; architectural; lifestyle & branding; and portrait.

I’ve grown a special liking to portraiture, as I love meeting and interacting with new people. I’m granted with the chance to hear about their lives; their goals & aspirations; maybe even their doubts and hardships. At the end of each encounter, I’m pleased to have gained a genuine connection with another human. These connections are at the heart of my work and are sincerely the reason why I do what I do, and why I love it so much.

For many it is easy to look at the world with disgust, hatred, and disapproval. But why burden yourself with such a negative outlook? Wouldn’t you rather view our world for all of its wonderful beauty?

The world is about intimacy, it’s about understanding, it’s about confidence, it’s about love; it’s about becoming ONE with another as we are much more similar than we are different. Our existence is but one component to a much greater story.

What a beautiful feeling it is to experience this thing called life, don’t you think?
